I'm here today to share with you my last project for I Am Roses for the month of May. I wanted a card that's not so shabby but still has the Spring feel to it and here's what i came up with. I have created the green background pattern on a graphic program and printed it out on a thick cardstock long time ago, set aside and i have completely forgotten about it until i found it when i was looking for papers that compliment the theme of my card. I hope you like my card :)

I used a shiny satin ribbon and accented the corners of the card with liquid pearl.

Here's a close-up look of the gel stone textured paste on the petals to add dimension to the flowers.

IAR DT Project

Hello Everyone! :)

I'm back with my design team project for I Am Roses. So it's still Spring (i really don't like rainy season) and i always think of the green color lol! and that's my color inspiration for this project i'm sharing with you today. I made a card box and envelopes for the first time using my WeRMK Envelope Punch Board! I was so excited and i had fun playing with the punch board and hope to do more boxes in the future for my Thank You cards.

I made 5 cards and 5 envelopes to go with it.

Here's the simple Thank You card and i used flat Hydrangea flowers so it's not bulky and just fit right into the envelope.

And here's the front of the card box wrapped with an organza white ribbon.

Hearts

Good day everyone! :)

I have another card here to share with you all :) Looks like you'll be stuck seeing more cards on my blog than any other type of paper craft lol! Whenever i lose my mojo i can't create any layout or alter things so i always end up making cards haha! 

I used TCWS grunge hearts stencil for the background, distress inks for the colors and added IAR Lili flowers to accent the card.

Simple card

Hello there crafty peeps! :)

So i tried to simplify my way of creating cards without adding any sorts of heavy embellishments for a change and here's what i came up with :) i really love the clean and simple look of these cards, i used vibrant ink colors on the first card below, added my DIY twine (tutorial on the menu above my blog) and voila! such a cute bow :) and i just used a piece of textured wall paper scrap on the second card and just added the stamped sentiment from the CTMH "It's Your Day" stamp set which i then embossed the edges with gold embossing powder and that's it!

I used MME Lost & Found Two Sunshine "Lovely" stamp for the background and Dilly Dally "Adventures" stamp for the sentiment.

More Cards...

Good day pretties! :)

Ok, so what i'm loving to create lately are cards (^.^) and i think it's because they're just the easiest project i could make lol! An excuse for not making big projects like mini albums haha! Oh well, i'll try to make one someday :)

I mainly worked on watercolors on these cards because they're so easy to use and they make great background patterns and gives nice dimensions.

I used two kinds of calligraphy nibs on this card, one draws thinner and the other one is thicker. And since i painted the cardstock with gesso and did some texture to it using the pallet knife, my handwriting appears a little crooked lol! 

I did some stamping on the watercolored background to add more definition to the card and also adhered some strands of sewing thread behind the flowers.

And lastly, here's a last minute card i made for a new friend i met on Instagram :)

More Valentine projects

Hi there lovelies! :)

I made these two Valentine cards a couple of days ago and again forgot to share it with you! So, here they are...i painted these cards with watercolors to create the background. The card on the right is a hybrid card, i printed out EchoPark'sPaperCo. digital love story element "I Love U" on a printing paper and back it with a cardstock to make it sturdy. I finally used my stash of heart stickers and i love how they add cuteness and colors to the card! If you noticed, i used the cut out heart from the other card to make a new card then just repeatedly stamped on a heart clear stamp to create a nice heart pattern background :) Both cards were easy to create and simple and are not bulky.

Just popped by real quick to share with you this card i made yesterday. It's another Valentine's card lol! I have posted this in my Instagram account but forgot to post it here so here it is! :) I hope you all have a beautiful Sunday and if you're on Instagram too then follow me and i'll follow you! Actually, I'm pretty much more active there than here and youtube because one of my new year's resolution is to take photos of whatever i'm making or what i'm seeing everyday and post it on my instagram, and by the end of the year i will have a complete 365 photos that i can compile and look back and see the things that i've loved throughout the entire year (^.^)

My goal this year is to make something in nature's color, more of a neutral theme this time and work my best to achieve it and set aside the feminine theme for the meantime so you won't be seeing anything girly anytime soon but we'll see lol!

Holiday Tag

Hi there crafty peeps! :)

I'm supposed to make a card but then i realized that i can't fold the cardboard into half as it's quite thick so i made a tag instead lol! Anyway, here's the outcome of my creativity last night :) The background pattern is actually a paper napkin that i decoupaged on a piece of medium weight cardboard and didn't do anything else aside from applying a satin finish varnish by Folkart and coated it with Jo Sanja's Opal Dust, they're the tiny round pinkish holographic glitters you see on the paper. The red Daisies were also accented with glitters to give some dimension and an interesting look.

Easy Mix Media Card

Good day fellow crafters! Happy Thanksgiving to all :)

Here's a quick post for today to keep my blog updated! I have here a card to share with you all, i can't believe i just made this in less than 30 minutes! Woohoo! and this is the fastest time i can come up with something haha! So bare with me if my card below is not beautiful in your eyes :) I just wanted to challenge my self if i can do something easy using simple mix media techniques and incorporating my horrible handwriting lol! I don't do handwriting very often like i used to way back in college and i know i have to work on this otherwise my handwriting would look like a 1st graders writing lol! I hope you like this card :)

I first primed the base of the card with gesso and created some texture with it and have it dried. Then i used a punchinella as a stencil for the polka dots and watercolors to achieve the drips on the background. I also used my copic marker to highlight the edges of the cardstock, did some circle doodling to few polka dots :)

The flowers are colored with copic markers and each one has a clear gem/rhinestone on the center.

Autumn Greetings!

Hi everyone! :)

Welcome back and i hope everyone's enjoying their weekend! So, it's time to introduce to you my first Autumn project of the year :) I'm just so happy Fall is finally here and got to enjoy it before Winter steal my favorite season lol! 

Here's my card for IAmRoses and i just love how monochromatic this turned out. I did show this to my daughter and she said it's beautiful but she doesn't like Tilda because she don't have a mouth lol! And she ask me WHY she doesn't have one? and i told her, that's the way she's made and still she don't  like her as much as i love her hahaha! I guess i have to try to draw Tilda a cute lips sometime, on my next card :) I just can't imagine how Tilda looks like when she smile lol! Anyway, i hope you like this card :)

 This card's size is 5 1/2" x 5 1/2". I used Basic Grey 6x6 patterned paper for the background and an embossed cardstock for additional layering and also used it to stamp on the image of Tilda as well.

 I finally got to play with my embossing powder on the sentiment, on the flower petals and also on some of the edges of the cardstock. Just to give a little interest to the whole look of the card :)

Here's a closer look on how i layered another stamped image of Tilda, i just doubled the foam tape so it gives a nice lift to the image.

It's Spring!

Anyone still up? (^.^)

Just a quick late post here of my IAmRoses DT project. I have lots or should i say tons of scrap papers in my stash and i was thinking of how to get rid of it and not just by dumping them in the trash...so here, i gathered some pieces of my scraps and put them all together to make a card. It's quite simple to do since i mostly glue the patterned papers down and draw lines close to the edge of the papers...no distressing done on the papers. I also doodle the leaves of the flowers with a white gel pen just to make it a little bit different from the usual green color of leaves :) and did a polka dot on the stem (yarn from the tag) using a permanent black marker.
