This is an A4 size landscape layout of my daughter.

a closer look on the Daisy flowers accented with crystal stickles and made a black polka dot on the white Hydrangea flowers using a permanent marker.

House Stamps!

Happy Tuesday/Wednesday Everyone! :)

I totally forgot to post this last weekend so here it is! More stamps made out of erasers! :) I had so much fun carving these tiny houses haha! The size of the eraser i used is about 1x2"...i know the drawing space is so small and tricky! But i did manage to draw these itty bitty images of houses and i love how it turned out, they look a little distressed!

I hope you try to make one too, it's fun!!

IAmRoses Sketch #1 Challenge

Good day everyone! :)

Is that time again for another IAmRoses Challenge?! This month we have a new and fun challenge for you! We're rocking the very first Sketch Challenge :) so hop on now to the challenge blog for complete details and see what the Design Team had created for this challenge.

I seldom make layouts and if ever i do one, i only create it if it's really a "must" project lol! So yeah, this project is a MUST project! Haha! Enjoy and i hope you have time to play this month's challenge! :)

And oh! I did a video on how i created this layout and you can watch it HERE!

An assortment of beautiful IAmRoses flowers

Those tiny 3D dots are actually foam balls cut in half so i can adhere it to the cardstock.
I painted the tag with gesso then crumpled for an additional texture on the paper.

I used a postcard as my photo on this layout and i just love it! The sentiment is so touching and sweet!

List of IAmRoses products used on this project:

R8 - pink and red small Roses
GS2 - two tone Gardenia flower
GP2 - Gardenia curly petals

Make your own rubber stamps!

Howdy friends! :)

I thought i would share with you today my handmade rubber stamps and how i made them. It's super easy and inexpensive and so much fun! I love making them and will show you the rest of the stamps i made this weekend! :) They're super cute!!

So this is my ugly eraser lol! As you can see it's pretty beat up! I used to poke it with my pen and stick pins haha! Sometimes i do crazy and silly things with my stuff (^.^)

The original shape of this eraser is rectangle, i just trimmed it to the shape of chevron.

First, i took a piece of cardstock and drew the shape of chevron and cut it out and placed it on top of the eraser and traced it twice.

I then used my craft knife and started carving the chevron shape pictured above. That tiny piece on the right side is the leftover piece of the eraser that i turned into a triangle stripe stamp :)

And here's the stamped images :) I just loved the distressed look of the chevron stamp and these tiny striped triangles, aren't they cute!!

I hope you like and enjoy my blog post for today, go make your eraser stamps too!

DIY - Bakers Twine Tutorial

Good day crafty friends!

So i thought i would share with you how i make my own Bakers Twine. It's so easy and pretty cheap to make!  I had so much fun making these and i'm going to make more!! (^.^)

You will need at least a yard of yarn for this tutorial. Here i used 10 yards of cream color 4 ply yarn. You can use pure white too! It just happened that i have a cream color so that's what i used here and it turned out like a vintage twine :)

You can use any type of marker that you already have in your stash, in this tutorial i used my Copic Marker.

Use a roller pin or your regular ruler to wrap the yarn around it. Start with taping the end of your yarn to your roller pin and begin spinning the yarn until you have all the yarn rolled, see #5. Then tape the other end of your yarn to secure it.

Take your Marker with the color of your choice and begin running it horizontally to your yarn, here i used "crimson red" Copic Marker.

After you colored your yarn, you can either store it on a wooden spoon just like what i did here or you can also use clothes pin, paper/plastic bobbins or simply use manila tag!

Here's the dark blue and lime green that i made!

I hope you like this tutorial and hope you're inspired to create your own Bakers Twine :)
