I was so pressured though...but i'm so glad i was able to made it on time :) It usually took me atleast 3 weeks to complete an album but this one is a real fast made mini and i surprised myself lol! I can make a mini album that fast?! No way! lol!
So i made this one for a client and it was a rush project. Will you believe me if i tell you that i completed this album in just 5 days? lol! For real i did! I was so pressured though...but i'm so glad i was able to made it on time :) It usually took me atleast 3 weeks to complete an album but this one is a real fast made mini and i surprised myself lol! I can make a mini album that fast?! No way! lol!
This album is 7 1/2" x 7 1/2", not so big and not so small it's just the right size :) The entire album is made of chipboard while the front and back cover were supported with acrylic sheet, i just adhered it to the patterned paper backed with chipboard to have that nice glass look and also to make it more sturdy as this album i believe will be displayed rather than stored away.
Here's a closer look of the alphas painted with gesso then distressed it with vintage photo distress ink. I then coated each alpha with Jo Sonja's crackle medium as you can see on the photo. I was aiming to make it look vintage or i would say weathered look.
The acrylic die cut behind was dry embossed and distressed the sides with StazOn "timber brown" ink. The rounded alphas i used here were printed out from my computer, i made them on microsoft word i think...i then cut them out, distressed them with vintage photo distress ink and StazOn "timber brown" ink, coated it with glossy accent and added some tiny rhinestones.
As to the name "Nami's" i used the Grunge Double alpha stamp by Recollections. I stamped it on a chipboard using StazOn "jet black" ink and distressed the edges with purple Colorbox fluid chalk.
The journaling spot were two separate sheets of paper by Sarah Jane "bella narratives" that i just put together to make it as one piece. If you notice, the lines of the paper on the right side is not aligned to the one on the left side, it's b/c i inverted it :) so i get the same side shape of the other paper...the ribbon on the center hides the spot where i adhered the 2 papers together.
I heat embossed the sides of the frame with gold embossing powder then stamped on with Prima clear stamp to give it a nice background pattern.
Flowers are by Prima e-line collection that i just heat embossed with gold embossing powder also the leaf and added my handmade beaded pearl on the center.
To get that texture on the frame, i used UTEE :) i then rubbed it with yellow Colorbox fluid chalk and distressed the sides with StazOn "timber brown" ink.
So this little cute bird looks interesting! Isn't it? I bet you want to know what technique i used here lol! Ok first and foremost, i painted it with gesso then i rubbed the branch with antique linen and walnut stain distress ink to get that faded white/grayish painted look. After that i patiently :) stick on a pinch of very tiny foam balls on the bird, this stuff is usually sticky itself but then i accidentally stored it with the seal open yay! So i used glossy accent then covered it with crystal stickles.
You can find this on the kid's craft section of your local craft store. They call it IFOAM here in Korea and i don't know the English name for it...i'm sorry! but i'm sure you can find it easily :) It comes with different colors too!
This is just a layered piece of cardstock that i stamped on with Tim Holtz and Prima stamp. The metal piece on top is just a part of a broken jewelry i got from a jewelry store before. I thought it would be a nice embellishment on this page :)
Again, flowers are by Prima accented with my handmade beaded pearl with flower pistils around it.
I heat embossed the sides of this frame with gold embossing powder and stamped on with Prima's "Cantaria" clear stamp. I also dressed up the frame with this beautiful heart shaped trim that you can purchase at my store.
The photo scallop mat contains another photo when you flip it up. The frame below it was stamped on with Prima clear stamp then heat embossed it with gold embossing powder.
This is a 2 sizzix chipboard frame that i just cut out one side of each frame and painted them with gesso and distressed the edges with purple Colorbox fluid chalk and stick them together as a whole frame.
Here's a closer look of the frame and those small square chipboard came from the negative of the sizzix filmstrip diecut. I simply added crystal stickles to add some shine on the entire page.
This is an acrylic dry embossed pocket...very nice texture!
And here's the last page of the album. The kraft envelope was stamped on with Prima's "Cantaria" clear stamp and Inkadinkado's "Script" wood stamp. I then added the ruffled trim and adhered those tiny pearls on it. The envelope closure is a velcro.
The background is just a black cardstock that i stamped on with Prima's "Cantaria" clear stamp using Versa Magic's "cloud white" archival chalk ink.
That's all folks and i hope you like the mini :) if you have any questions, just drop me a note on my chat box or just shoot me an email.
Thanks for stopping by...take care!
