Shabby Chic Altered ♥ Frame

Happy Tuesday everyone!

Today's project is all about L-O-V-E. I know i'm too early for next year's Valentine's Day lol! But this is what my mind and my heart tells me to create :) I hope you like what i'm sharing with you now as much as i do and hope it brings you inspiration as well.

Heart is the House of Love
Heart shape is about 7" x 7" and 1/2" thick. It's a solid hardwood that was already painted off white color and i like it so i didn't repaint it at all.

Dressing up this frame with beautiful laces, pearls, flowers and some teenie tiny things is so fun! And i love the fact that i made another shabby chic project :)

The paper doily was stamped on with script and distressed the edges with vintage photo distress ink and so with the arrow signs. I score the cardstock used as arrow sign to give a nice texture, i hope you can see it :)

Adage ticket were slightly torn to look kinda old. I broke a popsicle stick into half and use it as an arrow sign post :) i then wrap it with a manila tag cotton cord.

Here's a very nice shimmering mat finish and coarse texture on the wood. I used my homemade glimmer mist :)

TIP: mix modelling paste paint and gel stone paint to give you a rich sandy texture on your project. If you apply the gel stone paint alone on the wood (which is fine), but there's a tendency that the paint will fall off since it doesn't stick enough into the wood so mixing it up with modelling paste gives you the assurance to stay there forever :)

I distress crackle paint the chipboard fence then distressed the edges with vintage photo. I glued down those 3 tiny roses with the heart w/ wings charm on top to add a whimsy touch on the fence.

List of I Am Roses Flowers used on this project:

R2 - tiny roses
S10 - two tone small flowers
SP1-526 - two tone flower spray

Thanks for stopping by...take care!
