Prima layout

Morning folks! Sharing with you all today is a layout i made especially for my sweetest friend Nancy over at The Nickel Nook. Warning! This is another picture heavy post :) so please be patient to scroll down to see all the photos. This is a family themed layout. Enjoy!

This is a beautiful quotation i have to put on the layout. I used my label maker and each word is backed with a cardstock to add depth then i used my scissors to distress the edges.

And here's the full layout without the acrylic cover on it. It's a perfect family photo! I just love how everyone smiles :) a sweet moment to cherish.

i printed out this butterfly from my computer and embellished it with rhinestones from a broken jewelry. I also outlined the patterns of the butterfly with crystal stickles.

I hand sew the ribbon flower behind the yellow fabric flower. The dotted lines you see on the petals of the flowers were created using a Touch Marker pen. As to the bird, i used Ifoam just like the one i used on my previous mini album.

I used the chandelier stamp from the Cantaria stamp set by Prima, embossed it with silver embossing powder and attached those jewelry chain to look more interesting :) A gem brad was tacked in place to hold the hanging chandelier which is also supported with foam tape on its back. I really made sure it won't fall lol!

One thing i love to do in my project is creating a dimension...i just love using Tulip Puffy fabric paint! You can see the proof on this photo lol! I heat dry the paint until it rises and voila! a puffy dimensional circle! :) I then color it with Copic Markers.

The white stuff on the doily is just a paint that has a sand texture to it...love using this too!

I traced the butterfly on the paper with a clear sheet and then cut it out and adhered it on top of it, i outlined the edges including the antennae with crystal stickles, added 2 rhinestones on its back.

Here's a close up photo of what i did on the canvas, the stamped border is by Prima and the punched out border was created using Martha Stewart border punch and accented it with rhinestones. I also hand sew some parts of the paper to give more touch to the layout.

This is how it looks like with the acrylic cover on.

That's all folks! If you have any questions about this project, please feel free to ask me :)

We grow by our dreams...

Way back in 2008 when i was in search of a way to preserve my gazillion stock of family photos lol! I know it's way too many! But who would've not enjoy taking photos when you're using a digital camera without worrying the cost of buying dozens of film right? Those kinds of camera is history though you can still buy them like the disposable ones. So i took the time to search ways to preserve them digitally and i came by a software that can easily turn your ordinary photos to a piece of fantasy art! I was truly impressed with digital scrapbook and all the things about it...so when i don't do traditional scrapbook, i'm busy playing and working digitally :) It's time consuming though but the outcome is well worth the time you spent making it.

So here's my Webster's Pages digital layout i made last year...it's old but it's never late to share it with you all :) right?

My model is my cute bundle of joy! I love this photo of her, as if she's reaching for something...the star dust! :)
The digital elements i used here are not all from Webster's Pages, they're from various designers...so sorry i forgot their names.

Thanks for stopping bye...take care!

Childhood Memories Mini Album

Welcome back friends! Here's what i'm sharing with you all today...it's a mini album! But before i proceed please be patient to scroll down b/c this post is a picture heavy one! But you can watch the slide show of the complete mini album HERE!

So i made this one for a client and it was a rush project. Will you believe me if i tell you that i completed this album in just 5 days? lol! For real i did! I was so pressured though...but i'm so glad i was able to made it on time :) It usually took me atleast 3 weeks to complete an album but this one is a real fast made mini and i surprised myself lol! I can make a mini album that fast?! No way! lol!

This album is 7 1/2" x 7 1/2", not so big and not so small it's just the right size :) The entire album is made of chipboard while the front and back cover were supported with acrylic sheet, i just adhered it to the patterned paper backed with chipboard to have that nice glass look and also to make it more sturdy as this album i believe will be displayed rather than stored away.

Here's a closer look of the alphas painted with gesso then distressed it with vintage photo distress ink. I then coated each alpha with Jo Sonja's crackle medium as you can see on the photo. I was aiming to make it look vintage or i would say weathered look.

The acrylic die cut behind was dry embossed and distressed the sides with StazOn "timber brown" ink. The rounded alphas i used here were printed out from my computer, i made them on microsoft word i think...i then cut them out, distressed them with vintage photo distress ink and StazOn "timber brown" ink, coated it with glossy accent and added some tiny rhinestones.

As to the name "Nami's" i used the Grunge Double alpha stamp by Recollections. I stamped it on a chipboard using StazOn "jet black" ink and distressed the edges with purple Colorbox fluid chalk.
The journaling spot were two separate sheets of paper by Sarah Jane "bella narratives" that i just put together to make it as one piece. If you notice, the lines of the paper on the right side is not aligned to the one on the left side, it's b/c i inverted it :) so i get the same side shape of the other paper...the ribbon on the center hides the spot where i adhered the 2 papers together.

I heat embossed the sides of the frame with gold embossing powder then stamped on with Prima clear stamp to give it a nice background pattern.

Flowers are by Prima e-line collection that i just heat embossed with gold embossing powder also the leaf and added my handmade beaded pearl on the center.

To get that texture on the frame, i used UTEE :) i then rubbed it with yellow Colorbox fluid chalk and distressed the sides with StazOn "timber brown" ink.

So this little cute bird looks interesting! Isn't it? I bet you want to know what technique i used here lol! Ok first and foremost, i painted it with gesso then i rubbed the branch with antique linen and walnut stain distress ink to get that faded white/grayish painted look. After that i patiently :) stick on a pinch of very tiny foam balls on the bird, this stuff is usually sticky itself but then i accidentally stored it with the seal open yay! So i used glossy accent then covered it with crystal stickles.

You can find this on the kid's craft section of your local craft store. They call it IFOAM here in Korea and i don't know the English name for it...i'm sorry! but i'm sure you can find it easily :) It comes with different colors too!

This is just a layered piece of cardstock that i stamped on with Tim Holtz and Prima stamp. The metal piece on top is just a part of a broken jewelry i got from a jewelry store before. I thought it would be a nice embellishment on this page :)

Again, flowers are by Prima accented with my handmade beaded pearl with flower pistils around it.

I heat embossed the sides of this frame with gold embossing powder and stamped on with Prima's "Cantaria" clear stamp. I also dressed up the frame with this beautiful heart shaped trim that you can purchase at my store.

The photo scallop mat contains another photo when you flip it up. The frame below it was stamped on with Prima clear stamp then heat embossed it with gold embossing powder.

This is a 2 sizzix chipboard frame that i just cut out one side of each frame and painted them with gesso and distressed the edges with purple Colorbox fluid chalk and stick them together as a whole frame.

Here's a closer look of the frame and those small square chipboard came from the negative of the sizzix filmstrip diecut. I simply added crystal stickles to add some shine on the entire page.

This is an acrylic dry embossed pocket...very nice texture!

And here's the last page of the album. The kraft envelope was stamped on with Prima's "Cantaria" clear stamp and Inkadinkado's "Script" wood stamp. I then added the ruffled trim and adhered those tiny pearls on it. The envelope closure is a velcro.

The background is just a black cardstock that i stamped on with Prima's "Cantaria" clear stamp using Versa Magic's "cloud white" archival chalk ink.

That's all folks and i hope you like the mini :) if you have any questions, just drop me a note on my chat box or just shoot me an email.

Hello! Is it me you're looking for?

:) Good morning Ladies! Whew! It's been a week or so that i've been absent. Reason is...hubby changed my lappy to a desktop one b/c i needed a much better high performance machine suited for long hours of performance and that can do lots of multitasking! Yeah! I'm a busy bee when in front of the computer lol! So after the pc was set up, i thought everything's fine until i encountered a problem with my storage system, my pc couldn't read my device and so i tried everything i know to solve the problem and still not working...i'm giving up hope at that time :( all my files i needed were in that device and i don't have a 2nd backup device. After days of trying to figure out why it's not working, we bought a new HD and plug it on and it works! lol! Can you believe that! My older HD didn't work b/c it's not compatible with the pc's system requirement...sheesh! i never thought about it in the first place! Oh well, i'm getting old perhaps, my computer knowledge stored in my brain is slowly fading :( i was once a computer nerd lol but as time goes by i'm feeling i'm loosing every bit of info in my head...eekk! kinday scary!

Anyway, my computer is working fine now...so back to my card thing :) I've created this cute little card for a friend. We did a small swap and it's just right to make a card to go with the goodies i've sent her, a simple way of greeting her and at the same time saying thank you :)

The image i used here is created by Angelica, check out her blog -> Sliekje Digi Stamps.  She's offering all her awesome digi-stamps for free! Isn't she the sweetest!

And here's a closer look of the hair and sentiment. I tried to highlight the hair so i did a few strands stroke using a fine tip water brush.
